When trying to access the Internet, a user may encounter an unpleasant situation: the los light, which lights up with a steady green light, suddenly starts to flicker often, changes color to orange, or a red light is lit on the router altogether. Why is the internet icon lit red?
This signal always indicates a lack of network. The sources of the problem may be errors in router settings. They arise due to sudden voltage drops in the network or if there was an accidental reset to the factory parameters.
This is easily fixed:
- press the Reset key on the model’s case, all values will be completely zeroed .;
- go to the device, fill in the username and password (they can be indicated at the bottom of the router, if they are not there, check with the provider), re-adjust the network data.

The light is on due to a router failure.
If, for various reasons, the device has finally stopped working, you will need to partially replace (repair) individual components or install a new device. Procedure:
- Call the operator and call the wizard.
- A specialist will assess the condition of the equipment.
- Replacement with a working model is possible if the device was purchased in this Internet company.
Otherwise, the owner will have to hand over the router for repair to the workshop, the address of which is indicated in the passport to the device.
