How to make the balance power from the network

Electronic scales are in great demand. They are convenient and accurate, have a wide range of applications. They are used in various laboratories, industry, trade, housewives in the kitchen. Due to their high accuracy, they are gradually pushing mechanical options out of the market.

The principle of operation of the scales

The electronic scale differs from the mechanical version in the first place by the presence of a display on which information on the obtained weighing results is displayed. They differ in the very principle of work. The accuracy of the electronic is much higher than that of mechanical ones and is about 0.1 g, while that of mechanical ones is 1 g.

In inexpensive models, a spring is installed. When weighing, its fluctuations are transmitted to the electronic circuit and processed by it. Then the final result is displayed.

More expensive models are equipped with a kind of disk capacitors. The mass of the item being weighed puts pressure on one of them, due to which there is a displacement of the capacitor. The distance between these discs increases and information about this is transmitted to the electronic circuit. Electronics processes the information received, converting the distance between the capacitors into mass and displays the result on the display.

The most expensive scales in their design do not have mechanical elements and weighing is done entirely electronically. All mechanics are replaced by a sensitive voltage sensor. When weighing, this sensor changes its tension, as a result of which, the magnitude of the electric signal and the resistance change. This information is converted into information about the mass of the item and displayed.

Types and nutrition

The device can be powered in three ways: from batteries, power supplies or solar panels. but you can redo the type of power and replace the batteries with a wall outlet.

All scales differ in: accuracy, functionality, purpose.

They also have several varieties:

  • Household - table scales, kitchen, floor to measure body weight, electronic steelyards;
  • Trade - product and print labels (used in self-service stores);
  • High precision laboratory scales;
  • Medical for weighing children;
  • Crane - are installed on a crane for weighing bulky goods;
  • Industrial - to determine the mass of heavy objects;

Each type has its own requirements - the magnitude of the error, accuracy, weighing speed, information content and reliability.

Operating conditions for the balance

In order for the measuring devices to last for a long time, all operating rules must be observed.

Necessary conditions for the operation of the balance:

  • Temperature: 10 - 40 C;
  • Humidity: not more than 80%;
  • Mains supply: 200V;
  • Continuous use time: maximum 16 hours;
  • Power Consumption: Maximum 14 W;

In addition, the balance must be installed on a flat surface. For adjustment, the legs of the measuring device are used, while the liquid level must be placed on the scales. After the level is set, the legs must be locked.

REFERENCE! The operating instructions that accompany the measuring instruments indicate the operating conditions for each specific model. The minimum and maximum weight limits are also indicated.

How to make the balance power from the network 220V

Many household scales are powered by batteries, which is not very convenient, since such a battery lasts for a short time. And then the question arises for the owners - is it possible to make power from an outlet.

To do this, you can use either a universal power supply, or purchase a unit from a radio or cell phones. As a rule, they have the same output voltage of 9 V. It is also necessary to know the current consumption. Devices powered by AAA or Crohn batteries typically have low consumption. To create food you will need:

  • Multimeter for making measurements;
  • The rectifier is a power supply;
  • Soldering iron;

At the same time, everything must be done extremely carefully. First you need to familiarize yourself with the instruction manual. In the section of technical characteristics, information about the power supply, the required voltage and the consumed current is indicated.

Caution! If the scale body has metal parts, then they may be energized.
