What pressure does the compressor create from the refrigerator

In different models of refrigerators, compressors of various operating principles are used. There are ordinary, linear and inverse. The principle of their work is different, but they perform the same task: they pump up pressure, forcing air or liquids to move in nozzles or tanks.

Refrigeration units fail for various reasons: freon leakage, thermometer and relay breakdowns, and wiring malfunctions. If the compressor is intact and functioning properly, it can be removed and adapted for various purposes.

It is easily suitable for creating a spray gun, to use it as a spray when working with airbrushing. Another application is a tire inflation compressor. The third possible option is the creation of an air gun for cleaning work surfaces. The fourth option is the assembly of the compressor for a pneumatic stapler or nail gun.

Working pressure in the compressor of refrigerators

Operating pressure delivered by a standard compressor connected to the refrigerator ranges from 2 to 4 atmospheres.

Perhaps, this will seem like a small indicator to someone, but for the circulation of freon in a closed system, it is no longer necessary, at this pressure it copes with its function perfectly. You also need to understand that when connected to refrigeration chambers, it is specially tuned for exactly this power. Regulators keep work at a certain level, so as not to break the pipes with refrigerant.

What pressure does the compressor take off the refrigerator?

Compressors taken from the refrigerator give out completely different indicators. It all depends on the specific model, but with proper configuration, any of them can provide at least 15 atmospheres during operation. The longer it is turned on, the more pressure is created. Some samples assembled with a large receiver, able to pump up to 50 atmospheres. This will be more than enough to perform almost any task.

Important!When assembling the pump yourself, remember about safety. Do only what you are 100% sure, because working with a compressor is working with high pressure, which means it is associated with increased danger. An exploded receiver can cripple an adult and ruin the surroundings.

How to adjust the pressure in the compressor from the refrigerator

Self-regulation of pressure is possible only if the person assembling the pump unit has the necessary skills. For proper regulation you will need:

  • atmospheric regulator relay;
  • pressure gauge;
  • receiver.

The principle of operation of the automatic relay It consists in the system of turning on and off the electric motor, as well as dumping excessive pressure. When the amount of atmospheres in the receiver reaches a critical set point - the relay turns off the engine and the air stops pumping, the excess is discharged through the unloading valve. If the power necessary for operation has fallen, then the relay will automatically connect the engine, and it will continue to be pumped up.

Important! The relay must be set when the receiver is 40-60% full. Thus, you can set a real operating indicator and correctly set the point of discharge of surplus.

The circuit diagram for connecting an automatic controller looks like this: it is inserted into the circuit between the secondary motor control circuit and the unloading valve. Connection occurs with threaded heads. Two to the receiver - two to the pressure gauge. The remaining connectors are used for mounting a plug or an additional safety valve.
