Massive parquet laying

Massive parquet board is one of the most durable materials that are used for decoration. Although outwardly it looks like parquet, the board differs from it in structure, because it is made of solid wood. This product is durable and resistant to mechanical damage, therefore it is practical. Laying boards occurs at the last stage of construction work. For everything to be done correctly, you need to know the technique and the nuances of installation.

Before starting installation work, the material should lie down for two days. The product must be placed in a living room on special stands, and between the boards lay blocks. This is necessary so that the material does not lose its properties and shape after installation. Since the tree is afraid of high humidity, the optimum value is 35-65%.

The surface on which the installation will be carried out must be smooth, otherwise the floor will creak. All irregularities, cracks and other defects must be repaired. Laying on concrete and on a wooden base is allowed.

Before starting work, the foundation needs to be prepared. It must be cleaned and all rubbish removed. To level the concrete surface, you can use a leveling mixture. If the wooden base creaks or is uneven, then the boards need to be looped and putty applied. Rotten boards need to be replaced.

To mask the joints, installation must be carried out in the direction of the fall of the sun.For the best fixation, loose floorboards must be fixed with self-tapping screws.

There are several styling options. It:

• concrete base - screed and plywood or logs are used;
• tree;
• adhesive base;
• on screws or staples.

Laying an array of boards on a concrete floor

It is somewhat easier to prepare the concrete base for installation work. First you need to remove dust and debris. If there are small cracks, height differences, it will be enough to fill the floor with a leveling mortar. After this, leave the solution to dry completely. It usually takes several days. It is also necessary to check what humidity is at the base. The optimal value is 6%. If the value is higher, then additional waterproofing is required.

The most popular option is laying on plywood.

Stages of installation work:

• plywood sheets should be cut into identical squares measuring 500x500 mm;
• apply glue to the base on which to lay prepared plywood sheets;
• after that they must be fixed with dowels;
• the next step is laying parquet boards;
• for fixing, you need to use two-component glue;
• after an equal distance the product is additionally secured with side fasteners;
• after installation, the floor surface needs to be cleaned and lightly sanded.

ATTENTION! If the work was performed in violation of technological conditions, then in the future this will lead to deformation of the entire coating, as well as to a change in the color of its fibers!

The second method of laying on a concrete base is - on the logs. It is not as popular as the first option.

Phased work:

1. First you should prepare the logs to which the boards will be attached. As a lag, small rectangular cubes are used. All lags should lie flat. It is necessary to control the construction level. If necessary, you need to either reduce the height with a planer, or put something under the bars.
2. The bars are attached to the base using self-tapping screws. If there are communications under the base, for example, water pipes, then in this case, it is better to fix the logs on glue or mastic. The distance between the blocks should be a maximum of 500 mm.
3. To make the floor warmer, the distance between the bars can be filled with insulation.
4. From above it is necessary to lay a waterproofing film, which is fixed to the lags with brackets.
5. The last step is to lay the board array.

REFERENCE! It is possible to lay the coating without a special base, however, for this the surface must be perfectly even. This option is applicable only for rooms located on the second or higher floors.

Features of laying an array of parquet boards on a wooden floor

Before starting work, make sure that the old base is quite solid. Then it needs to be sanded and cleaned. If proper alignment fails, then sheets of plywood should be laid on top of the base. Installation is carried out in a checkerboard pattern. This will provide additional strength:

• self-tapping screws are used to fix the product - the maximum permissible distance between them should be 20 cm;
• You can use a special adhesive - the adhesive is applied with a spatula to the base, after which it is evenly distributed over its surface;
• After this, you need to additionally fix the product with screws.

ATTENTION! The composition must be applied strictly to the size of one board!

When joining, you need to monitor the gaps between the boards and the wall. If it is large, use wedges.

The very first row is laid against the wall, with grooves to it. The joints are masked by skirting boards.

When the work is completed, the entire surface is ground, and a protective varnish coating is applied over it. The more layers that are applied, the better the protection and the brilliance.

Subject to all technological requirements, the floor of the array will last a very long time. It is practical, easy to clean and looks very beautiful and spectacular.
