How to increase the monitor hertz

People often assume that “120 Hz” has something to do with performance because it looks like the processor clock speeds are described. In fact, the term describes something a little different. Changing or increasing the gertzovka on a laptop with your own hands is quite realistic.

How to increase the refresh rate - instructions

Open the control panel.

  1. On Windows 10 and Windows 8, this is easiest to do using the user menu. In Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP, you will find a link in the Start menu.
  2. Click or click Show in the list of applets in the control panel window. In Windows Vista, open Personalization instead.
  3. Depending on the control panel settings, “Display” or “Personalization” may not be displayed. If not, change the view to Small Icons or Classic View, depending on your version of Windows, and then find it again.
  4. Click or click on the "Configure Resolution" link in the left field of the "Display" window.
  5. In Windows Vista, click on Display Settings at the bottom of the Personalization window.

  11. In the smaller window that appears, which should look like what is shown in the screenshot on this page, click or click the "Monitor" button.
  12. Find the "Screen Refresh Rate" drop-down in the middle of the screen. In most cases, the best choice is the maximum possible, especially if you see a flickering screen or think that low can cause headaches or other problems.

IMPORTANT! In other cases, especially if you have recently increased the update feature and your computer is having problems, lowering it is your best course of action.

It is better to leave a checkmark "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display", provided that this is even an option. Selecting a refresh rate outside this range may damage your video card or monitor.

Click or click on the OK button to confirm the changes. Other open windows may be closed.

Follow any additional instructions if they appear on the screen. With most computer settings in most versions of Windows, changing the refresh rate does not require any additional steps, but in other cases you may need to restart the computer.

How to zoom in on a gaming monitor

  1. On the control panel (press Win + R to open "Run", enter "Control", click on the "OK" button) -> "Appearance and Personalization" -> "Display" -> "Screen Resolution", here you can set up everything you need; then click on Advanced Settings to confirm the screen frequency.

Overclocking with Nvidia Graphics Cards

Step 1: Right-click on the desktop, go to the Nvidia control panel and go to the "Customize the size and position of the desktop" menu.

Then check the box "Override the zoom mode set by games and programs" and apply the changes.

Step 2: Go to the "Change Resolution" menu and click the "Configure ..." button below.

Step 6: Once everything is done, click OK, and the user profile will be saved.

Step 7: Return to the "Change Resolution" menu on the Nvidia control panel, click on the newly created profile and click "Apply." Now, to check if everything works, find a place on the screen with a dark background, start moving the mouse and watch it with your eyes. Do this with both profiles: 60 Hz and 80 Hz (or in your case with any other profile). You should see: the mouse pointer is less blurry when moving, when the display is set to 80 Hz output (or in this case, regardless of what you set it to).
