Such a thing will not only relax you, but will also serve as a certain element of decor in the country house or in a private house. The first such a simple thing came up with the Indians living on the islands of the Caribbean. It was problematic to get enough sleep on the ground, so smart aborigines came up with the idea to build a so-called hammock, the main part of which was a mesh base and two ropes from both ends. The structure itself was tied to the trees with the help of ropes.

How to independently perform a fabric hammock on the crossbar: drawings

The fabric hammock on the bar is one of the simplest hammocks. Its manufacture also does not take much time and cost.

To make such a product, you need to stock up on the following materials:

• a piece of durable fabric (3 to 2.2 m);
• synthetic winterizer (50 cm);
• towing tape (5.2 by 3 cm);
• nylon file (4 mm);
• timber beam (4 mm);
• sandpaper.

Of the tools you will also need:

• iron ruler;
• crayons for drawing;
• wood hacksaw;
• chisel;
• scissors;
• sewing needles;
• roulette;
• sewing machine;
• iron.

We take the fabric and draw two equal rectangles from the inside, with sides of 1.5 by 2 m. We cut out the patterns and fold them with their faces to each other.

We retreat from the edges about 2 cm, then on both sides we scribble short pieces of material. We turn the prepared material out. Take the iron and ironing allowances on one side.

Further:

1. We attach the sling to most of the part with a deviation of 5 cm from the edges.
2. We take 4 pieces of slings 70 cm in size, then with the help of a sewing machine we sew them to the fastener places, with the front part to the back. Sew the edges under the grooves for the crossbars.
3. Stitch the sides of the hammock from the front with an indent of 30 cm.
4. From sintepon we prepare strips with sides of 25 by 125 cm, then push them into pre-prepared pockets and scribble the edges.

We saw a wooden beam in half. We mark 2 cm from both edges and prepare a small notch with a chisel, then we erase them with an emery cloth.

We stick the bars into the pockets and fasten with a rope. Done! You just need to fix it on the trees and you can relax!

How to make a hammock swing yourself

To create such an unusual and original item, we need:

• a piece of durable fabric (3 by 1.5 m);
• metal hula-hoop with a diameter of 90 cm;
• piece of synthetic winterizer (3 to 1.5 m);
• towing tape;
• a piece of chalk;
• iron;
• sewing machine;
• scissors.

To begin with, we cut from a piece of fabric two identical squares with sides 1.5 to 1.5 m.

Further:

1. We add both squares four times.
2. We turn them into two circles. To do this, mark the circle with a radius of 65 cm from the center with a chalk and cut it out.
3. Mark the holes for the tape. To do this, we fold our circle four times, then smooth it with an iron to navigate through the folds. The first pair of tapes will be at an angle of 45 degrees, the second pair at an angle of 30 degrees.
4. Glue synthetic winterizer. We lay it between both parts of the fabric.
5. We sew on the typewriter two equal covers, after which we sew them together, placing a hoop between them.
6. From four sides to the hoop we tie the towing tape, cutting it into four identical parts.

We tie the ends of the tape to any surface at the desired height (wood, pole).

How to build a fabric hammock on grommets

A hammock on grommets is a modified model of a fabric hammock. Its feature is that it includes not one stretched rope, but a set of ropes, diverging from one end to the crossbar.

To make it, you will need:

• piece of durable fabric (3 m);
• 22 eyelets;
• special devices for their insertion;
• 35 meter rope 6 mm wide;
• metal rings;
• drill and drill 12 mm;
• wooden bars with sides 30 to 50 mm;
• sewing machine;
• iron;
• scissors;
• a piece of chalk.

First, cut a piece of material, then bend 6 cm from the edges and sew it on a sewing machine. Using an iron, smooth the edges, bend and sew again.

On the fabric using chalk evenly make marks for attaching eyelets. In the designated places, cut the holes with scissors and attach the grommets.

Further:

1. We take two wooden beams and use a drill to drill holes equal to the holes of the eyelets.
2. We stretch the rope through the holes in the beam.
3. We attach the ring to any hook, lay a hammock on the floor and fix it with a heavy press.

We steal the frame, let each sling through the grommet, the hole in the spacer and the ring.

After finishing work, we tie the ends of the rope and hang a hammock.
