What is 3D heating in a multicooker

Slow cookers are firmly established in the kitchen of every second family. This useful technique has been enjoyed by people living in megacities and small towns. There is no longer any need to keep track of food, all you need to do is put the ingredients in the morning, turn on the delayed start and when you get home, a hot dinner is ready. Conventional multicookers are equipped with a heating element only from below, of course, this is enough for cooking. But, for example, in the baking process, the product must be turned over to get a better result. Manufacturers tried to solve this lack of a kitchen assistant and make life easier for consumers even more.

What is function 3D-heating in the multicooker

Like any technique, multicookers are constantly equipped with innovative features. One of the new products is 3D heating. Its essence is that food is heated not only from below, as in earlier models, but also additionally on the sides and above. This ensures uniform heating and cooking.

There are two types of heating elements in new multicookers:

  1. The device is equipped with heating elements - tubular heating elements. They are located at the bottom, sides and in the lid. In appearance, they resemble familiar boilers.
  2. Newer models use induction heating. This type of heating is non-contact, which means it is safer for a bowl and a dish. In devices with induction heating, a central processor is present. It is he who sends signals to the heater, regulates the temperature and does not allow the dish to bake badly or burn out.

ATTENTION! Induction coils are much safer in terms of fire hazard.

Pros and cons of multicookers with 3D-heated

Like any function, 3D heating has two sides - positive and negative. In many ways, people choose one or another technique based on their own preferences and needs. Before concluding that it is necessary to purchase a multicooker with the function of three-dimensional heating, it is worth paying attention to the pros.

  • a slow cooker, which is based on the principle of induction heating, will cook 25-30% faster;
  • baking will be cooked evenly, baked at the same time on all sides, remaining airy inside;
  • dishes no longer need to be turned over, especially relevant for the "Baking" mode;
  • due to the uniform and gradual warming up, you no longer need to worry about burning;
  • if there are no products in the bowl - the multicooker will not cook, another new feature of induction assistants;
  • due to the presence of automatic shutdown, after completion of the cooking process, food will not overheat;
  • meat and poultry will turn out with a golden brown.

There are only two disadvantages of a multicooker with such a function:

  1. Big waste of energy. For cooking, a 3D multicooker needs more power, which means it will consume more electricity. But this minus is offset by a reduction in cooking time. It turns out that electricity will be consumed about the same as in older models of multicookers without a 3D mode.
  2. High price. The cost of such crock-pots is several thousand rubles higher and depends on the brand’s reputation. However, the new induction crock-pots are much safer than their predecessors. With them you can not be afraid of a short circuit.

Is it worth it to overpay for 3D-heating or not

It is definitely impossible to answer this question. If you rarely cook in a slow cooker and mostly soups or cereals, such a function will be almost useless. AT a large family where the multicooker is used daily - speeding up the cooking process and eliminating burning - tangible advantages. Lovers of homemade pastries and bread 3D-mode will also like. Fans of new gadgets and features must definitely compare both models of multicookers: with heating only the bottom and with three-dimensional heating.

IMPORTANT!Before buying, you should find out reviews about the models you like and understand if the equipment or its functions are really needed.

If the old multicooker has not tarnished the reputation and serves faithfully, it makes sense not to change it for a couple of years. During this time, other functions will appear, and 3D-heating will become commonplace at a good price. Having examined in more detail the 3D-cooking function, everyone will draw a conclusion about the usefulness of this function.
