What are the disadvantages of inkjet printers

To perform printing work and create paper media, special devices and devices were created. At different times, people tried to make their lives easier and come up with a mechanism that can quickly, without the expense of energy and strength, perform any type of work.

Inkjet printers

With the development of technological progress and the emergence of advanced developments, inventions were actively implemented in life and used in almost all areas of human activity, facilitating work.

Thus, printing presses appeared, and in their stead after the appearance of electrical appliances, people learned how to create the first automated devices for printing large volumes of text presented in electronic format. In the age of computer technology, connecting to a computer and accessing the network plays a key role in providing advanced features and the ability to quickly interact between different users. Therefore, printers were created - special peripheral devices that convert electronic documents into printed form.

Initially, inkjet versions were invented, using special ink cartridges in their designs for drawing text and images on paper. Since the invention of the first model to this day, the technique has undergone many changes. On the shelves of stores you can find different versions: inkjet, laser, LED options.

Despite the use of advanced technologies, people still use early versions of products. However, they do not have the indicators that are available in modern developments. They are much inferior to the new generation of printers.

Of course, this option can be used at home, it is quite suitable for performing small amounts of work. But in many respects inkjet printers are significantly worse when used compared to modern counterparts. Here is a list of the main drawbacks affecting the performance and quality of the device:

  • The principle of printing is based on the use of special inks and inks, so when you apply them to paper, the image is blurry, it can stain the back surface of the sheet and degrade the quality of the text.
  • Despite the low cost of the printer, its further maintenance will cost the user much more expensive. Many buyers do not take into account this indicator when choosing a technique. This is especially noticeable when printing color photos and images, a fully-filled cartridge is enough for a small amount of work.
  • Very low print speed and performance compared to the laser option.
  • If you do not print for a long time, the paint may dry out and block the nozzles from which it serves the sheet.
  • Difficulty in maintenance and refueling. Working with liquid paint creates many problems, since it can leak out of the case and spoil the product.

IMPORTANT: It is better to get a small laser model of the device.

Despite its inflated cost, it will later fully pay off due to the economical use of toner. On average, one sheet printed on a laser printer will cost several times cheaper compared to using an inkjet model.

Of course, the disadvantages of an inkjet printer stands out much more than the positive sides. But despite this, it is worth considering a few advantages, they can be useful when choosing and comparing different printers. Here is a list of advantages in the operation of this type of equipment:

  • Relatively cheap equipment compared to modern equipment models. Recently, prices have become even lower, as these options become obsolete.
  • A large variety in size: from compact for home to large, used in the office.
  • During the work and gas station of cartridges one element can be reused.
  • High quality of the received images (color and black-and-white) due to the use of special paint.

TIP: If you rarely use a printer, and you only need it to print text documents, abstracts, an inkjet model is enough. In addition, you can get high-quality photos.
